Carmelo Anthony has reportedly played his last NBA game
Carmelo Anthony has parted ways with Houston Rockets, after he was unable to come to an agreement with the Rockets management about his role in the team for this and the future seasons.
Clearly, he wasn’t ready to have a bench role and hence decided to move on, taking a sabbatical of sorts.
His agent has been scouring the NBA for a team that wants Anthony, but to Melo’s disappointment that hasn’t quite happened until now.

None of the NBA teams are ready to offer a spot to Carmelo and while fans feel that it is only a matter of time before he is back playing on the court, NBA executives feel differently.
Brian Windhorst has reported that NBA executives believe that Melo has already played his last game in the NBA and will not step onto the court again.
Team execs have told @WindhorstESPN Carmelo Anthony has likely played his last NBA game, but what about the teams whose primary interest isn’t, um, well, winning right now? Now, there goes a very good question about Melo’s involvement. While he might not be at the peak of his abilities, Melo is a massive brand and a team that decided to get him on board could benefit from other factors that Melo brings to the team(in terms of fan following and experience).
But is a team in the NBA ready to take that chance with a man whose powers are on the decline?
The Houston Rockets tried to blame everything on Carmelo Anthony.

The NBA execs don’t think so and Melo could have infact already played his last game in the league.

The Houston Rockets tried to blame Carmelo Anthony for their poor start, but without him too they haven’t been able to muster much.
The Rockets are 11-11 this season and need to work a bit on their game play before they can get back into their groove.
Now, as far as Carmelo is concerned, he’ll need to sort out his future pretty quickly as his options could keep getting lesser in number as time passes.
Which team do you think should try and secure the services of Carmelo Anthony?
