Real Madrid players and other staff members experience when Cristiano Ronaldo’s transfer actually happened. It was something that was unexpected by most but now they must move on. Having completed a lucrative move to Juventus worth £100 million following the World Cup, the Whites are expected to sign a replacement for the Portuguese.

Not only was Cristiano one of the dressing room’s biggest figures, he was also a born scorer of goals. He would guaranteed roughly fifty goals every season, and has such an average since his last nine years at the club.

These are stats that very few players can boast. Real Madrid will now look for someone who is a goal scorer who can score at least 30 or 35 every season to replace Ronaldo.

Eden Hazard and Neymar topped the list of replacements at Real Madrid. However, Neymar and Real Madrid have both confirmed that there will not be a move made in this transfer window.

On the other hand, Chelsea will be reluctant in selling Hazard despite the player’s desire to leave. He could be the best Ronaldo replacement in some eyes. Edinson Cavani has now been added to the shortlist.

Cavani, who forms one part of the three forming Paris Saint-Germain’s deadly attacking trio is the most realistic option that the Spanish giants could go for right now. Neymar is not going to come for certainty this summer.

Kylian Mbappe has committed his future publicly to PSG, and being a Parisien with a guaranteed start in the line-up, he is expected to stay too.

Cavani was lethal as ever for Paris Saint Germain in the French Ligue 1 and showed fantastic form for Uruguay in the World Cup. The 31 year old scored 28 times in 32 appearances for the French champions.

On the other hand, he was instrumental in Uruguay making the quarter finals. His absence due to a knee injury could be one of few reasons that cost Uruguay a semi-final spot.
