CHE vs DIN Dream11 Team: Fourth season of the Tamil Nadu Premier League sees last year’s finalists Dindigul Dragons face off against Chepauk Supper Gilles

Ever since the Indian Premier League tasted rapturous success, different state level cricket boards started taking to the format to organise T20 tournaments featuring teams from different parts of the state. Filled with several star performers from the domestic Indian cricketing fraternity is one such league, the Tamil Nadu Premier League which is set to commence its fourth season today.

And facing off against each other in the opening clash of the league on Friday will be last year’s second placed outfit Dindigul Dragons and Chepauk Super Gilles in a fixture which is befitting to begin this edition’s sojourn in the league. The league spread over 32 matches and the course of a month will see each side play against each other once proceeding which the top 4 sides will partake in the qualifiers.

The opening match today evening will be started off by Indian cricketer Kedar Jadhav who was ever so recently with the Indian side for the recently concluded Cricket World Cup. For Dindigul Dragons, the fourth edition of TNPL is continuing their resounding form and making it to the summit clash once again after the side faltered at the last step in 2018. Certain favourites to lift the trophy after making it to the final in TNPL 3, the Dragons went onto lose to Siechem Madurai Panthers who won their first ever title after failing to win a match in TNPL 2017.

Elsewhere from the dramatic land of TNPL 4, for the Super Gilles, this year is all about overhauling what was a massively underperforming last edition for them. They went onto win only one match last year, a 13 run win against VB Kanchi Veerans in a season where they failed to shrug off the inclement form that continuously surrounded them.

Dindigul Dragons vs Chepauk Super Gillies Match Prediction

With Vijay Shankar yet to recover from a toe injury that saw him being sent back from India’s 15 man squad at the World Cup after being hit by a Jasprit Bumrah delivery in the side’s practice session, Kaushik Gandhi will be captaining the Super Gilles. And he’ll be looking to build on the 2-1 lead which the Super Gilles hold over Dragons in the league when the two sides take to the middle today.

However, we see the Dragons restoring parity by winning this encounter on the basis of their more astute unit. It’s the bowling order which is particularly more well versed than Super Gilles with Ravichandran Ashwin set to be among the wickets. The Dragons should bowl out Super Gilles relatively cheaply and win this clash.

Wicket-Keeper for CHE vs DIN Dream11

One of the main components of his side’s batting line-up, Dragons’ wicket-keeper N Jagadeesan is the first player we are getting into our side.

Batsmen for CHE vs DIN Dream11

With us having opted for Jagadeesan from Dragons, we have only one player coming in from the side in the batting order in the form of R Vivek. Meanwhile from Super Gilles we have a two man partnership make an entry into our outfit with us opting to go for a paper thing batting order for this match.

The league has traditionally dished our way low scores with the bowlers dominating and we see the narrative to stay the same today. And going by this script we have Ganga Sridhar Raju and A Aarif come in from CHE with the two players bound to score a good amount of runs given their ability to cleanly hit the ball to the fence.

All-Rounders for CHE vs DIN Dream11

Ravichandran Ashwin becomes our first pick from Dragons with Ramalingan Rohit being also selected. The T20 format, especially in India has always favoured the slower bowlers with the ball massively spinning and with Ashwin set to bring the ball into the batsmen along with bowling the straighter ones, he should get a good number of wickets today.

From the Supper Gilles meanwhile its Murugan Ashwin who has been selected by us owing to the same reason of the spinner flourishing in this particular match.

Bowling Order for CHE vs DIN Dream11

The most heavily packed side of our Dream 11 side, we have the two bowler being selected from either side for this one. One thing which is beyond a certainty in this encounter is the fact that wickets will tumble with the bowlers bound to enjoy their time out in the middle.

This sees us bring in spearheads Me Yazh Arun Mozhi and M Mohammed from the Dragons while from the Super Gilles we have their stoutheaded deadly combination of Arun Kumar and Sunny Kumar Singh being selected by us. If the Super Gilles are to come out with a win in this one, two will need to make early inroads and punch above their weight.

Captain And Vice-Captain

We have gone ahead to make Murugan Ashwin our captain for the league’s opening match while Ravichandran Ashwin is our vice-captain.
