Chelsea have made a late bid to sign Bayern Munich ace Renato Sanches on loan. According to multiple sources, Chelsea are keen on Renato Sanches, a Bayern Munich midfielder. Reports had emerged earlier this week claiming that Chelsea officials have inquired the availability of the Portugese midfielder. This transpires after their pre-season encounter with the Bundesliga Sanches.

Ongoing talks on Renato Sanches

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is believed to have spoken with Bayern manager Carlo Ancelotti over the future of Sanches.  This is to bring the youngster on a season long loan to Stamford Bridge. Chelsea are keen on bringing in the midfielder with Serbian Nemanja Matic widely expected to move to Manchester United in the coming days.

The 19 year old midfielder failed to impress after making the big money move to Germany last season. He is widely expected to leave Allianz Arena this summer in search of game time. The man in question has already confirmed he wants to leave the club this summer to play more first-team football.

United and Milan show interest too

” I’m not satisfied,” Sanches told SportsBild. “Of course, I would like to play more that’s why I want to change and go to a club where I would play more.” Carlo Ancelotti confirmed last week that Manchester United were also in the running for his signature. Even another marquee club, AC Milan have also shown strong interest.

United under Louis Van Gaal were heavily linked with signing the Portugal international before he opted for Bayern. Jose Mourinho admitted he would have ‘fought’ for the midfielder had he been appointed boss earlier last summer.

Sky Sports claim that Italy is said to be his preferred destination despite interest from the English clubs. Moreover, AC Milan has also been negotiating with the player and the club over the last month or so. However if Chelsea do manage to convince Sanches to make the move to Stamford Bridge, it would be a big coup for the Blues.
