Earlier in the summer, Manchester United swooped in and stole Romelu Lukaku front under Chelsea’s nose and left Antonio Conte red faced and embarrassed. But it looks like Chelsea are now looking at taking a leaf out of United’s book and planning on snatching PSG defender Serge Aurier.

Jose was looking to strengthen his defense, as he set his sights on signing Serge Aurier from PSG.

The attacking right back is someone that Jose is extremely interested in, as the Portuguese looks for an upgrade over Valencia.

Antonio Valencia has done a stellar job at right back for a few seasons now. But having played the majority of his career as a right winger, Valencia cannot iron out some of the defensive flaws that are ingrained his game.

Now Chelsea have also entered the race. While a right wing back is not a pressing worry for the Premier league champions, Chelsea will no doubt want to buy Aurier if he is available.

Aurier has been a consistent performer for PSG over the last couple of seasons. While he has had his fair share of off-field issues, the marauding right back keeps producing the results on the pitch.

More than another addition to his squad, Conte may be secretly hoping to get one over Jose again. He is still smarting over the way the Portuguese snatched Lukaku, so he could be forgiven for orchestrating a hijacking of his own.
