Chelsea Transfer News: The blues plan to hijack Arsenal’s transfer target despite a transfer ban imposed on them that bars them from signing new players for two windows.
Chelsea are currently serving a transfer ban but that hasn’t stopped them from looking ahead and targeting the players they would like to bring once their transfer embargo is up. One such player, is Arsenal’s top summer target Wilfried Zaha.

The Ivorian has already admitted his desire to leave the club in search of Champions League football. He has expressed his wish for playing at the Emirates Stadium as a Gunnar. However, Arsenal have fallen way short of Crystal Palace’s evaluation of £80m. In fact, they have only offered £40m as their opening offer.
WIlfried Zaha has told Crystal Palace he wants to leave after returning from the African Cup of Nations. Palace rejected £40m bid. Arsenal expected to push again in the coming days. Zaha is Unai Emery’s No 1 target.
Emery has wanted him since Palace beat Arsenal 3-2 in April— Kaveh Solhekol (@SkyKaveh) July 18, 2019
Everton has also joined the race and are very keen to bring Saha in to their fold. They have reportedly offered, £60m plus striker Cenk Tosun. Despite trumping Arsenal by a huge margin, Everton are still unsure about landing the former Manchester United player and with good reason too.
Chelsea want Zaha
The Telegraph have reported that Chelsea are also ‘weighing up a bid for Zaha’. The club is currently serving their two window ban and have already lodged an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport. It is unlikely though, that the ban will be overruled and the Blues will, in all probability, only be able to bid for him next summer.
Zaha’s desire to play Champions League football means Everton fall behind Arsenal and Chelsea. With Arsenal unable to provide the funds that the Eagles have demanded, Chelsea find themselves at the forefront for Zaha’s signature. Crystal Palace will not mind this though.
Chelsea’s transfer ban will allow Crystal Palace to hold on to Wilfried Zaha for at least one more season. This also improves their chances of signing Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi, who spent last season on loan with the Eagles.
Some Chelsea fans have taken the opportunity to laugh at the faces of Arsenal fans. They see this as a victory of sorts; Outdoing Arsenal in the transfer season even with a ban.

Some aren’t a fan of the possible move and would rather they spend their money elsewhere.
Nicholas Pepe – £60m
Chiesa -£50m
Ziyech – £30m
Neres – £40mFar better wingers than Wilfried Zaha (£80m) are available in the market for Chelsea to sign now for next season. Just let Arsenal or Everton sign him ffs #CFC

In my opinion, Chelsea should stay far away from Zaha at that price. There are better options.

Telegraph reporting that we’re back in for Zaha. Either very bad reporting or very bad decision making by the Chelsea board. Thing is, I can believe either to be true
