Christian Horner takes a dig at Hamilton for moaning about Ferrari tricks

It was a race day that was dominated by Vettel, as the German had far more pace in his car than Hamilton, and sailed to victory in what was a perfect drive for him in a crunch, crunch race.

Vettel had to step up to the plate in order to close than 21 point gap, and he did so in sublime style, overtaking Hamilton just before the safety car that was introduced because of the Hulkenberg triggered crash on lap 1.

Vettel then did a brilliant job of managing the race and keeping Hamilton at bay, securing a win at Spa and making the race for the driver’s championship even more interesting.

Post the race, Vettel and Hamilton seemed rather content with their performances, with Vettel obviously being the happier of the two.

Hamilton spoke about the Ferrari pace and how Ferrari were using some tricks in order to get to the top.

His statement was blown  a little out of proportion, with people questioning the Brit’s sportsman spirit.

Hamilton did clarify his comments later, but Horner too took a dig at home post the race in an interview near the paddock.

“Hearing Lewis moan about the Ferrari, I almost got my violin out” he said.

Now, while Hamilton and Mercedes have been critical of that Ferrari power this season, it seems like Hamilton’s statements weren’t meant to actually question the authenticuty and the legality of that Ferrari package.

Instead they were only meant to highlight the extra power that Ferrari were generating through some secret ‘ingredient’/formula that they had discovered.

However, the way Horner says it is funny. And while others spoke about Hamilton questioning the legality of that Ferrari machine, Horner emphasised on the ‘Lewis moaning part’.

Do you think Lewis was actually moaning about the Ferrari engine?
