Christopher Nkunku is unlikely to move to Arsenal on the deadline day.
Arsenal have been hyperactive in the January transfer window in the hopes of strengthening their squad with a couple of signings to finish in the top four. The Gunners are guaranteeing goals every game, but their liability lies in the defence as they ship goals week in week out.
Unai Emery desperately wanted to add a new face in the backline, but he has not been able to land because of the financial constraints. The Spaniard had another priority to bolster the winger department. They had a shortlist which consisted of Denis Suarez, Yannick Carrasco, Gary Cahill, and Ivan Perisic.
Carrasco to Arsenal off. Player part fine but loan fee offer far too low to suggest recent interest was as serious as it seemed early Jan. Better offer from another club (reportedly AC Milan) & Dalian Yifang were offered replacement but reluctant so set to stay in China #AFC #ACM

Lately, there have been several reports quoting about the French midfielder Christopher Nkunku looking for a move away from France. The 21-year-old is currently plying his trade with Paris Saint-Germain. He has featured 15 times under the management of Thomas Tuchel, but he has not been considered as a starter.
Perisic to Arsenal off – #Inter ended all player talks yesterday, #AFC attempts to structure loan + option (+ penalty fee if option not taken) of no interest. Nkunku efforts ongoing but now very unlikely #PSG. Suarez announcement soon. Smith Rowe #RBLeipzig loan, no option to buy

BBC Journalist David Ornstein reported that the Gunners have an outside chance of landing the midfielder yesterday. But, the report today confirmed that Unai Emery does not have sufficient budget to make any more signings.
It is understood that Unai Emery is happy with the midfield options he has right now. With the signing of Denis Suarez, it marks the end of Mesut Ozil who has been struggling to find his feet regularly.
Besides, news popped up that Mesut Ozil has decided to turn down an approach from the French Champions Paris Saint-Germain as he is encouraged to tussle into the starting eleven and Unai Emery’s plans.
Ideally, Emery would have loved another wide player, but he would be happy to secure the signature of Denis Suarez after a long negotiation. Following a victory against Cardiff City and Bournemouth’s emphatic victory over Chelsea, the Gunners sit fourth in the Premier League table.
