Cody Rhodes walked for the match staring at throne with skulls before making his way to the ring. The American Nightmare then grabbed a sledgehammer, and took it to the throne. Brother Vs Brother
The match that followed was even more brilliant. It was a typical wrestling clinic straight out of the 80’s. It was everything it set out to be; Very passionate and equally emotional. Dustin was the star of the match, wowing the crowd and even earning a “You still got it chant”.
An exposed turnbuckle cut open Dustin who bled everywhere.
Cody’s wife, Brandi, also interfered in the match and speared Dustin on the outside. However, was sent back by Earl Hebner and carried out by Diamond Dallas Page who made a little cameo.
After Brandy’s exit this became a pure wrestling exhibition. The two brothers traded blows. Cody locked in the figure four but Dustin reversed it. The veteran hit a huge superplex and the Crossroads but Cody kicked out. However, the crowd went crazy and the arena was filled with chants of “this is awesome,” “A-E-W” and “thank you, Dustin”.
Later in the match Cody Low Blowed Dustin and hit him with a Crossroads but the veteran wrestler managed to kick out. After a final back and forth, Cody hit Dustin with another Crossroads to finally end the match.
The American Nightmare grabbed the mic to say “you can’t retire here.” and then proceeded to ask Dustin a favor. He informed his brother of his desire to team up and face the Young Bucks at the Next Pay Per View. He cried while exclaiming “I need my older brother”. The two men then shared a tearful embrace as the curtains closed on their amazing match.
