Lucknow Cricket Stadium Average Score in T20 History

Lucknow Super Giants will face Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 10th league match of Indian Premier League 2023. The match will be played at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Eana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

The Super Giants won the first match at their home venue, whereas they suffered a defeat in their away match against Chennai Super Kings. Lucknow would want to return to winning ways at their home venue, where they will get the support of their home fans.

This is the first edition of IPL in Lucknow, and they will host seven matches this season. To attract more crowds to the stadium, the ticket prices in Lucknow are one of the most economical in the league.

The Ekana cricket stadium has hosted a total of 32 T20s so far, out of which 17 matches are won by the teams batting first and 15 are won by the chasing teams. This track has favoured the pacers, and the average first innings score in T20s played here has been 144 runs.

It is to be noted that, out of 32, 24 matches are of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Some of the lower-division teams of the domestic circuit have also played here and their poor batting performance has impacted the average score. It is overall a very decent batting track.

Talking about just T20Is, six of them have been played here and five are won by the teams batting first. The average score in T20Is here has been 159 runs.

This stadium has just two IPL matches so far, the avearge score in those matches has been 157 runs. It is difficult to predict the wickets here as this ground has both red and black soil pitches.

Lucknow Super Giants faced Delhi Capitals in the first match here, the Super Giants scored 193-6 in that match and won the match by 50 runs in the end. Mark Wood bowled a terrific spell against Delhi, where he took five wickets with the ball. If the bowlers can bowl hard lengths, it will be tough for the batters to score runs.
