The 12th season of the Big Bash League is set to start today with the match between Sydney Thunder and Melbourne Stars. This is one of the most-watched tournaments in the world, and there is a huge fanbase of BBL in India as well.

Perth Scorchers are the defending champions, and they are one of the most successful teams in the history of the tournament. The players like Steve Smith, David Warner, Cameron Green, etc, will also be taking part in the tournament this year after completing their international duties.

For the first team in the history of the tournament, an international player’s draft took place. However, many of the players picked in the draft opted out of the tournament and many of the star international players will be available for a limited time only.

Sony Sports Network have the broadcasting rights of the BBL, and they will be broadcasting the Big Bash League live in India. This is Sony’s last year as the broadcaster of the BBL. There are 5 different channels, but most of the games will be broadcasted on Sony Sports 2 and Sony Sports 2 HD.

The tournament will be streamed digitally on the Sony LIV app and website as well. However, it is to be noted that watching BBL on Sony LIV is not free, and the viewers will have to buy one of their packages in order to watch the match live. There is no official way to watch the match live for free on OTT.
