Big Bash 2022 squads: BBL squads all teams and player list

A grand total of 156 cricketers (including replacements) will take part in the imminent 12th edition of the Big Bash League beginning tonight in Canberra. Although the number has it in it to increase due to potential injuries during the 54-day tournament, BBL 12 will present ample opportunities to cricketers to put on display their crafts in one of the biggest T20 competition in the world.

Out of the above mentioned number, 30 overseas cricketers (including replacements) belonging to seven different countries will also be plying their trades in BBL 2022-23. Some of the high-profile overseas cricketers in this season of BBL are Faf du Plessis, Rashid Khan, Trent Boult and Andre Russell.

An eight-team competition will be played in the usual home-away format after the last two seasons were disrupted by COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, expect more footfalls across all stadiums for fans would be motivated by multiple opportunities to support their home BBL clubs.
