David Warner and Quinton de Kock are two of the most promising names on the cricket field. Both of them are left-handed batters and open for their respective countries in the white-ball format. Both of them are famous for their aggressive approach, and they were once engaged in a heated fight in 2018.

Australia toured South Africa for a 4-match test series in 2018, and it was one of the most controversial test series. During the fourth day of the first test match, a CCTV video was released where Warner was abusing de Kock at the stairs during the lunch break.

In the video, Usman Khawaja was constantly pushing Warner in order to stop him, and the other members of the team were also trying the same. Warner was looking very angry at de Kock, and it was a big task to stop him. After the incident, Warner was reprimanded for his actions.

David Warner was fined $13,500 and was awarded three demerit points for the incident. However, he said that not just the South African players, but the whole South African crowd was sledging them, but he insists that those things do not bother him at all.

Warner said that de Kock was constantly abusing Warner, and when he crossed the line, Warner could not stop. The Aussie southpaw said that de Kock passed some derogatory comments about his wife Candice Warner. He insists that he regrets getting into a physical fight, but he will always stand up for his family.
“I cop it left, right and centre, especially off the field from spectators. I am used to that and it doesn’t bother me,” Warner said.
“I’ve been called everything under the sun out on the field and that, quite frankly, doesn’t bother me. But in the proximity of my personal space and behind me, a comment that was vile and disgusting and about my wife – and just in general about a lady – was quite poor.

In the same series later on, Warner was caught in the sandpaper gate along with Steve Smith and Cameron Bancroft. Warner was banned from playing cricket, and he is still banned to take any kind of leadership role in the Australian cricket team.
