CSK vs GT Final Date And Time: When Will IPL 2023 Final Start?
With rain relentlessly pouring down at a consistent pace, fans have been informed of a good news and a bad news each. The grand finale of the ongoing 16th season of Indian Premier League will not be reduced to less than 20 overs per side, but it will, unfortunately, not take place on a super Sunday.
Chennai Super Kings versus Gujarat Titans IPL 2023 final match has been postponed to Monday (tomorrow) after the contest stakeholders waited for almost four hours for any piece of positive news with respect to the conditions being ideal enough for the teams to step up on the field of play.
Players did walk out on the field at around 09:15 PM (local time) when the drizzle did cease. With them starting to train, it appeared that the match would be played tonight with a reduction in the number of overs. However, it did not take long for the downpour to gather intensity yet again.
Rain did stop at around 11:00 PM but the officials were of the view that it required another hour for the conditions to be fit enough for play a five-overs-a-side contest. However, not paying further heed to the waiting game, a full-fledged T20 contest was always going to be a better option.
CSK vs GT Final Date And Time
It will be a Monday night rather than a Sunday night. Nothing else changes. CSK vs GT IPL 2023 final will take place on May 29 (tomorrow) at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
The contest will start sharp at 07:30 PM with the toss to take place half-an-hour earlier at 07:00 PM. All of it, of course, only after the rain gods decide to stay away.
As per Accuweather, apart from a 51% probability of rain at around 5 pm, the city and match venue is not expected to receive any amount of rainfall for the rest of the evening.
As fans, we can just keep our fingers crossed that the action-packed IPL season ends in the manner which it fittingly deserves.
