Dharamsala T20 Records: HPCA Stadium IPL Records, Highest Innings Totals and Successful Run Chase

Indian Premier League is all in readiness of making a comeback to the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh after a 10-year long hiatus. Although Himachal doesn’t have an IPL franchise of its own, Punjab Kings, based out of the neighboring state, had used the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium as one of their home grounds for four seasons in a row between 2010-2013.

Kings returning to this picturesque stadium brings back several fond memories of the nine IPL matches that were played here back in the day. While PBKS have won five and lost four matches here, opponents Delhi Capitals have won once and lost twice at this venue.

With the league stage of IPL 2023 into its business end now, pitches have started to turn slower than usual. In such a situation, Dharamsala’s pitch could provide a much-needed breath of fresh air to the competition.

Highest T20 run-scorers at the HPCA Stadium are Shaun Marsh (334), Adam Gilchrist (295), Tamim Iqbal (233), Shikhar Dhawan (215), Rohit Sharma (205). Apart from Dhawan and Rohit Sharma, David Warner (160), Dasun Shanaka (121) and Manan Vohra (106) are among active IPL 2023 players with more than 100 T20 runs here.

Highest wicket-takers in Dharamsala T20s are Piyush Chawla (13), Sandeep Sharma (10), Ryan Harris (9) and Manpreet Gony (8). In addition to Chawla and Sandeep Sharma, the likes of Navdeep Saini (6), Siddarth Kaul (5), Amit Mishra (4), Pradeep Sangwan (4), Rishi Dhawan (4) and Harshal Patel (4) have also done well here among players participating in the ongoing 16th season of the IPL.

Highest T20 Innings Totals at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium (Updated)

Been a high-scoring IPL and T20I venue on a few occasions, the 200-run mark has been crossed twice across 30 Men’s T20s played at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium thus far. It is noteworthy that the aforementioned second-highest innings total is also the highest successful T20 run-chases in this city.
