Hardik Pandya Record at Wankhede Stadium: How has Gujarat Titans' Captain Performed vs Mumbai Indians?

Gujarat Titans’ captain Hardik Pandya played for Mumbai Indians from 2015-2021. He has played a lot at the Wankhede Stadium and, tonight, he will face his old team at the very same ground. With the bat, Pandya has performed brilliantly here. However, as a bowler, he has not been that successful.

Pandya has played some decent knocks this season where he has scored 277 runs at an average of 34.62 and strike-rate of 130.66. He has scored two half-centuries as well in the tournament. As a bowler, he has scalped just three wickets at an economy rate of 8.63.

Wankhede’s wicket is one of the best batting tracks in the country and the batters have dominated the proceedings here more often than not. On such a surface wicket, Pandya would want to smash some sixes here. If Gujarat can win tonight, they will officially qualify for IPL 2023 playoffs.

Hardik Pandya Record at Wankhede Stadium

Pandya has enjoyed batting at the Wankhede Stadium in IPL. He has a brilliant strike rate of 148.21 and will again be a deadly batter with the small boundaries on offer. He has not played a Test here, whereas his record in ODIs and T20Is has not been that great.

Bowling Records

Pandya has scalped 24 IPL wickets but his economy has been on the higher side. He has a decent economy in T20Is but has struggled to pick wickets. Although, he has grown as a bowler since last year.

Hardik Pandya record vs MI

Pandya left Mumbai last year only and he has played just a couple of games against them. He has scored 37 runs in those matches and scalped a wicket with the ball. It won’t be easy for Pandya to bowl against the in-form Mumbai batters. However, the bowling is the biggest weak link of the record champions and Pandya can take them to cleaners.
