Hobart vs Stars head to head: Hobart Hurricanes vs Melbourne Stars head to head record in BBL history

Hobart Hurricanes will lock horns with Melbourne Stars in Big Bash League 2022-23 Match 35 at the Bellerive Oval tomorrow just over a couple of weeks after their last match against each other at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Stars, who’ve won three out of their last five matches against Hurricanes, had won the last time as well on the back of opening batter Joe Clarke’s fourth T20 century. An overall domination against this opposition witnesses Stars leading across divisions including playing away from home.

Melbourne would be banking on their past performances for they don’t have a lot to take inspiration from as far as their BBL 12 campaign is concerned. Placed at the bottom of the points table with two wins and six losses in their first eight matches, another loss for MS would further minimize their chances of qualifying for the playoffs.

Only slightly better than their next opponents, Hobart have won three and lost five out of their eight matches this season to be at the sixth position as of now. With all their wins so far coming at home, HH wouldn’t want to let go of an opportunity to add a couple of points in front of their name.

As far as playing at the Blundstone Arena is concerned, the hosts have won 29 and lost 22 out of their 52 matches here. The visitors, meanwhile, have won four and lost three out of their seven matches at this venue. Although the sample size differs vastly, readers must note that Stars (8.7) have a better average run rate than Hurricanes (8.25) at this stadium.
