According to a report by The Economic Times, Tendulkar charges INR 7-8 crore per year for endorsements. Tendulkar once said that he is quite careful in choosing brands. He also opened a company named SRT Sports Management to manage his brand deals and partnerships.
“Whatever is being said in communication, should also be done to fulfill that promise. That is how one can win the trust of people. Finally, it is teamwork, and therefore the comfort of working with the partner is very important,” Tendulkar had told The Economic Times.
Tendulkar’s popularity on social media also plays a huge part in getting him deals. He has 41.2 million followers on Instagram and 38.9 million on Twitter. The Master Blaster is the third most followed cricketer on Instagram after former India captains Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni. In this age of social media, these numbers are humongous and it further validates his popularity.
