The Big Bash League is facing stiff competition from ILT20 League and SA20 League as the majority of the overseas players have preferred the other leagues over the BBL due to time and monetary reasons. The majority of the overseas players in the BBL will now leave the tournament.

Australia’s Chris Lynn also will leave his BBL side Adelaide Strikers after 10 matches to participate in the ILT20 League. Lynn is not contracted by Cricket Australia, so it was not a big issue. David Warner tried to play in ILT20 League as well, but he was denied the NOC by the board.
However, all-rounder Marcus Stoinis has signed for Sharjah Warriors in the ILT20 League, and he became the first contracted Australian player to sign for the T20 league in UAE. Cricket Australia will provide him NOC on the condition that he won’t miss any of the Australian domestic games.
Marcus Stoinis confirms availability for BBL 12 league stage
Marcus Stoinis has confirmed that he won’t be missing any of the BBL 12 or Australian domestic fixtures in order to play in the ILT20 League for Sharjah Warriors. Stoinis has already announced that he won’t be leaving the Melbourne Stars setup before January 25, if they fail to qualify for the playoffs.
Stoinis will also play the Marsh One Day Cup and the Sheffield Shield in Australia. To play in the Sheffield Shield, he will have to miss the finals of the ILT20 League as well (if Sharjah qualifies). It is certain that Stoinis will be able to play for Sharjah for just 4-5 league matches.
“I obviously went through the process with CA and the WACA. I’m not missing anything, which is what allows me to take the opportunity,” Stoinis said to AAP.
“From what I have seen, I will be able to play the round games but not the finals of that competition if (Sharjah) makes it.”

Stoinis has majorly been a white-ball player for Australia, and he has not played Sheffield Shield since 2020. He said that if he is missing not kind of fixtures, then it should not disturb anyone if he plays in ILT20 League.
