The 45h league match of the Big Bash League 2022-23 is being played between Sydney Sixers and Adelaide Strikers at the International Sports Stadium in Coffs Harbour. Adelaide Strikers won the toss and opted to bowl first after winning the toss, where they made a couple of changes.

Sydney Sixers are without Nathan Lyon in this game, and they have preferred Todd Murphy over him. A win in this match will almost seal their place in the playoffs of the tournament. Steve Smith would want to make an important contribution in this game at the top.

This is an important game for the Adelaide Strikers, and they have to win here. Matthew Short has been an important part of the squad, and he will again be the pillar of the side. The duo of Travis Head and Alex Carey will play a key part for the side as well.

Adelaide Strikers have made a couple of changes to their playing 11, where Chris Lynn and Peter Siddle have been replaced by Thomas Kelly and Henry Thornton in the playing eleven. Both of the absentees are big names, but the absence of Lynn is certainly a big miss for the side.

Lynn signed with Adelaide Strikers for just a contract of just 11 games, and he has gone to UAE to play for Gulf Giants in the International League T20. There were a lot of controversies around Lynn’s participation in the BBL, but he agreed on a compromised contract with a pay rise as well.

Lynn will miss the rest of the tournament, and he was at his very best in this BBL season. He scored 416 runs at 41.60 with the help of 3 half-centuries (S/R of 141.01). Lynn has been playing some great cricket in the last year, and he has expressed his desire of playing in different T20 Leagues around the world.
