IPL 2021 auction registration deadline: How to register for IPL auction 2021?

How to register for IPL auction 2021: The auction for the 14th season of the Indian Premier League will be held on February 18.

It was over a week ago that the IPL Governing Council had announced that the auction ahead of the 14th season of the Indian Premier League will be held on February 18 in Chennai.

With less than a couple of weeks remaining for the mini-auction, the reported deadline for Player Auction agreements to be submitted online ended yesterday, i.e., 05:00 PM on February 5 (IST).

It is worth mentioning that players who already have an existing IPL contract or have been traded before the auction can’t register themselves for the auction.

“Please note that this procedure does not apply to any Indian player who has an ongoing IPL Player Contract that may be extended prior to IPL 2021 Player Auction,” IPL COO and interim BCCI CEO Hemang Amin wrote in an email to all the state associations.

How to register for IPL auction 2021?

As far as Indian players are concerned, the only way for them registering for IPL auction is via their respective state associations. As has been the case over the years, BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) doesn’t entertain player agents or managers.

Talking about the exact registration process, players have to approach their respective state associations and follow the below mentioned guidelines in a bid to get their names in the list of players who will be up for grabs in the auction.

“When the above registration is initiated by the state association, it will generate an email to the player with their login details so they can complete the registration process. Once registered, in order to express their interest in playing in the IPL 2021, the player should login to the online registration system.

“They will be required to complete all the fields and download and complete the IPL 2021 Player Auction Agreement. Once completed, the agreement must be uploaded back to the online registration system and the original sent or delivered to their respective state association. Please note physical signature of player is required on original auction agreement,” read Amin’s email.
