IPL auction 2023 sold players list: IPL 2023 auction live sold players list with price

New Zealand white-ball captain Kane Williamson not only became the first cricketer to go under the hammer in Indian Premier League 2023 mini-auction but also the first one to attract a bid.

One of the most high-profile cricketers (one of the two captains) to be released by franchises last month, Williamson didn’t have to struggle a lot in auction as defending champions Gujarat Titans didn’t take a lot of time before raising the paddle for him.

That being said, no other team showing any interest in the 32-year old player converted Titans’ opening bid into a closing bid. With GT buying Williamson for INR 2 crore, the right-handed batter has suffered a significant pay cut after being Sunrisers Hyderabad’s first-choice retention before last season.

Second cricketer to go under the hammer, England batter Harry Brook continued with his dream winter season. First cricketer to force a bidding war in Kochi today, Brook became the first millionaire of IPL 2023 mini-auction. With Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers showing keen interest in Brook, the 23-year old player was eventually bought by SRH for a whopping INR 13.25 crore.

India batter Mayank Agarwal, second IPL 2022 captain to be released in addition to Williamson, will also ply his trade for Hyderabad in IPL 2023. Apart from his former franchise Punjab Kings, Royal Challengers and Chennai Super Kings also bid for Agarwal before SRH snapped him for INR 8.25 crore.

India batter Ajinkya Rahane, who had played for Kolkata Knight Riders last season, will represent Chennai Super Kings as his sixth IPL franchise. Having registered himself in a comparatively lower price category of INR 50 lakh, Rahane will earn the same amount as his IPL salary next year.
