Kensington Oval Barbados weather: What is the weather prediction for 1st WI vs PAK T20I at Bridgetown?

Kensington Oval Barbados weather: The SportsRush presents for you the detailed weather prediction for the first WI vs PAK T20I.

During the first T20I of the ongoing Pakistan’s tour of West Indies in Barbados, the start of the match has been delayed due to rain over the Kensington Oval.

After Pakistan captain Babar Azam won the toss and chose to field, players had entered the ground to sing the national anthems. However, just as players were getting ready before the start of the match, water started to pour down to play spoilsport in the first match of this tour.

Originally scheduled to be played yesterday, the first T20I was rescheduled to accommodate the recently concluded ODI series between West Indies and Australia. After a non-playing member of the home team tested positive for COVID-19, the second and third ODI had to be postponed.

Being played during the day to perhaps cater to Pakistan’s prime time audiences, the first T20I should go ahead as planned without any significant rain interruptions.

According to AccuWeather, the weather will remain cloudy over the venue. Having said that, the probability of rain will remain below 50%. Around and after noon, temperature will be around 30 degree in Bridgetown.

As far as rain probability is concerned, it will be in vicinity of 40% as the day progresses. However, the current weather appears to be defying the weather prediction. Readers must note that rain has become quite heavier at this point in time.

It will be interesting to watch if this unexpected shower ends up in reducing the number of overs for the first T20I. Nothing official has been confirmed for now though.
