Kevin O’Brien car window: The Irish batsman was involved in a hilarious Twitter conversation with Toyota after breaking his own car’s window.

During the fourth match of the ongoing Cricket Ireland Inter-Provincial Twenty20 Trophy between North-West and Warriors and Leinster Lightning in Dublin, Ireland batsman Kevin O’Brien scored a whirlwind half-century to give a significant advantage to his team in a rain-affected match.

After Warriors captain Andy McBrine won the toss and opted to field, O’Brien opened the innings to score a dominating 82 (37) with the help of three fours and eight sixes as Lightning managed 124/4 in their allotted quota of 12 overs.

To O’Brien’s dislike, one out of his eight sixes ended up hitting the back window of his own car in the parking lot. The damage done was viral across social media platform in the form of an image.

After the match got over, O’Brien immediately headed towards a Toyoto service station and was involved in a hilarious Twitter conversation with them whilst dismissing the need to use an air-conditioner while driving.

As far as the match was concerned, Leinster registered a 24-run victory after they restricted North-West to 104/8 in 12 over in a 129-run chase (D/L Method). Simi Singh, who scored 25* (25) in a 93-run partnership with O’Brien, picked bowling figures of 2-0-11-3 to be the pick of the bowlers for his team.

Other than Singh, the likes of Peter Chase and Tyrone Kane also picked a couple of wickets each in a winning effort despite veteran Warriors batsman William Porterfield scoring 50 (30). While the exact video of the ball hitting O’Brien’s car isn’t available, you can watch the replay of the match below:
