Perth Scorchers will take on Melbourne Stars in the 20th league match of the Big Bash League at the Optus Stadium in Perth. Both sides’ season has been quite opposite so far, and the pitch here in Perth has always been one of the toughest in Australia.

Perth Scorchers are the defending champions, and they have won three of their four games in the tournament so far. It is safe to say that the bowling of this side is one of the best in the tournament. Ashton Turner and Josh Inglis have played some really decent knocks for the side.
Melbourne Stars, on the other hand, have been horrific in the tournament with just one win in four matches. This side is doing a lot of chopping & changing, and the batting of this side looks really poor on paper. The bowling of this side has some star names in Adam Zampa, Trent Boult, Nathan Coulter-Nile, etc.
Optus Stadium pitch report
The Optus Stadium in Perth is one of the bounciest tracks in the country, and the same was visible in the recent T20 World Cup as well. It was evident that the Optus Stadium was the toughest to bat in the tournament, where the pacers dominated the proceedings in almost every match.
This is a multi-specialty venue, and a drop-in pitch will be used for this match as well. A couple of matches of BBL 12 have been played here, and batting was really difficult in both games. The pacers were deadly, and they were incredibly tough to bat against. Perth Scorchers have some amazing pacers, and they will make use of their home conditions.
The outfield of this ground is quite fast, which will favour the batters, whereas the boundaries are also not that huge. Once set, the batters can play their shots very easily on this track. Chasing has not been that easy here and posting a good target on the board won’t be a bad option.
