Rajiv Gandhi Stadium Hyderabad Pitch Report for SRH vs DC IPL 2023 Match

The 34th match of Indian Premier League 2023 will be played between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. This is the fourth match of the season at this ground, and the home team would want to return to winning ways.

Hyderabad’s form has not been great where they have lost their last couple of matches. The batting order of the side should love the conditions here and look to to score big this time round. Bowling used to be the strength of this side but that is not the case anymore.

Delhi registered their first win of the season in the last match on the back of pacer Ishant Sharma making an IPL return and registering a terrific performance. This team’s batting is full of star names but they will have to play according to their potential in order to excel in an away match.

The track in Hyderabad has been an absolute belter for the batters so far. This is a flat track and there are no visible demons here. The bowlers could have a tough time as there is little help for them whatsoever. However, the spinners are a little more effective than the pacers here.

“The outfield is pristine, it’s absolutely beautiful. From a batting perspective, you come out here and you’ll enjoy seeing this,” former West Indies fast bowler Ian Bishop had said in his analysis of the pitch on Star Sports ahead of the last match here between SRH vs MI.

A total of three IPL matches have been played this season where the average first innings score has been 180. In one of the matches, SRH spinner Mayank Markande dominated the proceedings. The outfield is quite fast and the ball will race away towards the boundary once placed in the gap.

With shorter boundaries, the job of the bowlers will get even tougher on this ground. The chasing teams have generally done well here and both captains would aim to do the same upon winning the toss.
