SIX vs REN pitch report today BBL match: Sydney Cricket Ground Sydney pitch report batting or bowling

Sydney Sixers will take on Melbourne Renegades in the league match of the Big Bash League 2022-23 at the Sydney Cricket Ground in Sydney. The Sixers have loved playing at their home venue, and they would again want to take advantage of the conditions here.

Sydney Sixers have won their last couple of matches, and they are aiming for a hattrick of wins. The batting of the side looks set as they have been playing together for a very long time now. Daniel Christian and Hayden Kerr are the leading all-rounders of the side, and they have some quality bowlers as well.

After winning three games on the trot, the Renegades suffered a defeat in the last match. Andre Russell has gone home, but the team will welcome Shaun Marsh, Martin Guptill and Peter Handscomb in this match. Kane Richardson will make his return after resting in the last match.

SIX vs REN pitch report today BBL match

Sydney Cricket Ground has always been a wicket where the batters have enjoyed batting, and the spinners have dominated among the bowlers. In the recent T20 World Cup, the average 1st innings score here was 175 runs, and five out of seven games were won by the teams batting first.

To everyone’s surprise, the batters have struggled here in a couple of BBL matches this season. The average 1st innings score in this BBL season here has been just 144 runs, and the spinners have again enjoyed bowling here. Although, this track is generally an excellent batting track, and things may return to normalcy in this match.

The side boundaries of this ground are very small, and the outfield is very fast here, which will definitely encourage the batters. In the bowling department, the spinners are again expected to dominate as this is the driest track in Australia. Keeping the overcast conditions in mind, both teams may opt to bowl here upon winning the toss.
