SRH vs RCB Pitch Report for IPL 2023 Match at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium Hyderabad

The 65th league match of Indian Premier League 2023 will be played between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. We have seen some high-scoring encounters this season and the fans will again expect the same.

Hyderabad’s campaign is over and they would want to win their remaining two games in order to end the tournament on high. This team never fulfilled its potential despite showing some sparks in between. Aiden Markram was made the new captain of the side but he has been a flop so far.

This is a very important game for Royal Challengers Bangalore who are in search of a playoff spot. The form of captain Faf du Plessis and all-rounder Glenn Maxwell has been great, but the rest of the batters have to improve. After the last performance against Rajasthan Royals, the bowling department must be booming with confidence.

The surface in Hyderabad has been one of the best ones out there for batting. This is a flat track with an even amount of bounce. The batters will have no problems in timing the ball and playing their shots. If timed well, the outfield is so quick that the ball will race away toward the fence.

“The wicket looks pretty dry, it’s flat and hard and there won’t be much movement. Looks like a pitch where around 170-180 runs can easily be scored,” Matthew Hayden said in his pitch assessment on Star Sports ahead of the SRH vs LSG match.

The average first innings score in six matches played here has been 173 runs this season. Out of six, five games have been won by the teams batting first. There is almost no help for the bowlers, but the spinners have done comparatively well as compared to the pacers.

Talking about the dimensions, the straighter boundaries are the longest one, which is around 73 metres. The rest of the ground is very small and it won’t be tough for the batters to smash sixes here. Despite the results of previous games, both captains will opt to bowl upon winning the toss.
