Suryakumar Yadav Quotes: Jos Buttler, Rashid Khan, Sourav Ganguly and Others Hail SKY for Crazy Hitting vs RCB

Mumbai Indians vice-captain Suryakumar Yadav played an absolute blinder of an innings to power his team to a thundering 6-wicket victory against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the recently concluded Indian Premier League 2023 Match 54 at the Wankhede Stadium tonight.

Yadav’s 41st T20 half-century and 20th IPL half-century (19th for MI) played a titular role in the home team chasing down a 200-run target in 16.3 overs. Yadav, whose maniac knock saw him amass 83 (35), shared a match-winning 64-ball 140-run third-wicket partnership alongside Nehal Wadhera (52*).

Yadav, who hit seven fours and six sixes at a mind-blowing strike rate of 237.14, gave no chance to the opposition to take advantage of picking a couple of wickets in the powerplay.

Often known as a modern-day 360-degree player, the 32-year old player defied all numeric to outclass RCB’s bowlers on Tuesday. Taking refuge in all sorts of insane ramp shots and flicks, Yadav put on a spectacle in real terms in front of their home crowd.

Expressing relief at making the team win in such a manner, Yadav admitted to be “very happy” after winning his first Player of the Match award of the season.

Yadav’s sensational efforts has propelled Indians to the third position on the points table. Having won six out of their first 11 matches, the Rohit Sharma-led team wouldn’t want to let go of this advantage now.

“Much needed from the team’s point of view. I am very happy to win a home game like this,” Yadav told host broadcaster Star Sports Network during the post-match presentation ceremony.

“I mean they came up with a plan. They tried to make me hit to the bigger part. Take the pace off and bowl slow. I know where my runs are. I know my game. I don’t do anything different.”
