Sydney Sixers vs Melbourne Stars head to head: SIX vs STA head to head in BBL history

Sydney Sixers and Melbourne Stars will clash against each other in Big Bash League 2022-23 Match 15. First of the two matches to be played on a double-header Boxing Day tomorrow, it will be the second match of the ongoing 12th season to be played at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

With their only victory this season coming at home, Sixers would be looking to add to the same especially after losing two away matches in a row. Just a position above Sydney on the points table, Melbourne have also won one and lost two out of their first three BBL 12 contests.

Been the more successful teams out of the two in the history of the BBL, Sydney should be brimming with confidence knowing that they have defeated Stars seven times in a row now. Readers must note that the last time when Stars had defeated Sixers was at home almost a couple of years ago.

SS, who have an average run rate of 8.08 at the SCG, have won 30 and lost 18 out of their 51 matches at this venue. MS, on the other hand, have won three and lost five out of their eight matches at this stadium. Having said that, it is noteworthy that the visitors have exercised a better run rate of 8.5 here historically.
