Weather report in Trent Bridge Nottingham: What is the weather prediction for Day 3 of England vs India 1st Test?

Weather report in Trent Bridge: The SportsRush presents for you the detailed weather prediction for the third day of ENG vs IND Test.

It took veteran England pacer James Anderson four attempts ranging around 21 hours to complete his 14th over in the first innings of the first Test between England and India in Nottingham.

Anderson, who bowled a couple of deliveries to complete the over, had only bowled three in his next over before another rain interruption forced the players to return to their respective dressing rooms.

A highlight of the 11 deliveries which have been possible on Day 3 till now was India wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant steeping out to smash Anderson for a boundary through the extra cover region.

At the first rain break today, India are still trailing by 51 runs with six wickets in hand in the first innings.

Weather report in Trent Bridge Nottingham

It has been that sort of weather since yesterday as players have had to take three rain breaks for a handful of deliveries. Readers must note that a yellow warning for thunderstorms continues continues in Nottingham for the third day in a row.

As far as the weather forecast for Day 3 is concerned, rain is highly likely to pour down as per AccuWeather’s prediction. Currently raining at Trent Bridge, the weather is expected to remain “Mostly Cloudy” and “Thunderstorms” for the next two hours in the city.

Talking about the rain probability, it will jump from 47% to 51% by 02:00 PM (local time). While the rain probability will receive a bit of a drop post 02:00 PM, it will continue to remain in excess of 30%.

Before the start of the day, it was announced that a total of 98 overs will be bowled today to make up for the lost overs from Day 2. Having said that, if the weather prediction holds true, bowling these many overs on Day 3 will be a distant reality.
