Cristiano Ronaldo: Five time Ballon d'Or winner sets sights on Allegri's replacement at Juventus

Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly targeting former Barcelona manager as replacement for Massimiliano Allegri at Juventus.

There has been many rumour mill about Massimiliano Allegri’s exit from Juventus after the Old Lady’s elimination from the Champions League Quarterfinals. Young Ajax side showed tremendous character and nick a victory in front of the home crowd to progress to the last four of the competition.

Allegri played down the exit talks from Allianz Stadium, but some players including Cristiano Ronaldo are not happy with his tactics. The Portuguese International, who has been mustering goals for fun in Spain is the fourth highest scorer in the Serie A, thanks to a conservative approach from the Italian outfit which is disrupting Ronaldo’s goalscoring ability.

According to the Spanish publication Marca, former Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo would welcome ex-Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola to Turin in the summer. Ronaldo believes that Pep would be able to get the best out of him after struggling to hit the numbers despite bailing Juventus on numerous occasions.

The Manchester City manager, who is the cusp of securing domestic silverware has opted to join Juventus after the conclusion of this season, according to Il Giornale’s reporter Luigi Guelpa. The journalist confirmed that the news came from the source which broke Cristiano Ronaldo’s transfer to Juventus last summer.

“I’ve learned that Pep Guardiola already has reached a verbal agreement with Juventus for the next four years. It’s the same person who told me that Ronaldo was going to Juventus,” Guelpa said.

Even though Pep Guardiola has suffered to win the Champions League after leaving Barcelona, the Spanish International is determined to end that wait and looks to add before it’s too long. Juventus have not won the Champions League for 22 years and they would put full stop to the drought.
