Cristiano Ronaldo: Juventus star shares his opinion on Maurizio Sarri's potential move to Turin

Cristiano Ronaldo has shared his opinion on Maurizio Sarri’s potential move to Turin.

Juventus parted ways with Massimiliano Allegri for the failure to take them further in the Champions League. The former Juventus boss bought Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid last summer, but he has not played to his strengths. For the first time in 12 years, the Portuguese International failed to score 30 goals in a single season in all competitions.

Defensive methodologies have often been brought into scrutiny – the tactics which have not worked ideally. In order to instil eye-catchy football, Juventus have made contact with Maurizio Sarri. The Italian has asked Chelsea to let him leave, but the Blues want to keep him for the upcoming season.

It has been that kind of a season as the former Napoli manager brought back the Europa League to Chelsea and finished third in the league table. Since his impressive spell at Empoli, before moving to Napoli and Chelsea, Sarri holds a high reputation with awe football. He puts forward his tactics over results  – a method which is followed by top managers.

According to the Italian publication TuttoSport, Ronaldo believes that he could be benefitted by ‘Sarri-Ball’ at Allianz Stadium. The Portuguese International was furious with Massimiliano Allegri and once showed his unhappiness on the pitch during the game against Napoli.

Second-placed Napoli and third-placed Atalanta have outscored Juventus in the previous season. This has forced the club to look into this problematic area, despite possessing Cristiano Ronaldo up front. Gonzalo Higuain, Dries Mertens, and Eden Hazard have thrived in goal-tally under the 60-year-old – an area Ronaldo looks forward to.

Sarri was heavily criticised by Chelsea fans throughout the season, but he is regarded highly in Italy, and rightfully so. It will be tough to lure him away from Stamford Bridge, but Ronaldo could prove to be a cardinal factor in this deal.

Here’s how Twitter has reacted..

What’s next?

Juventus will have to battle to land Maurizio Sarri from London. The Blues are demanding compensation for cutting down the alliance after a successful season.
