Huge WWE Return: Daniel Bryan Returns to WWE Raw | WWE News

Daniel Bryan WWE Return: Former WWE Champion Returns to WWE Raw. Gets a WWE Title Match against Kofi Kingston in a Wrestlemania Rematch.

Tonight’s episode of WWE episode of WWE Raw opened with Roman Reigns kicking things off. However another surprise was in store for the fans as Daniel Bryan made his return following his injury at Wrestlemania. His appearance along with Kofi and Roman has been explained with the Wildcard rule. 3 superstars from either brand are allowed to cross brands according to the rule. No more details regarding the rule was given tonight.

Dave Meltzer had earlier reported that Daniel Bryan had been cleared to wrestle and would make his return very soon on his Wrestling Observer Radio.

Bryan walked in to the ring soon after Roman did and will take on Kofi Kingston tonight in a Wrestlemania Rematch for the WWE Championship. The former champion called Kofi a pancake throwing novelty act and claimed that his win at Mania was a fluke.

Meltzer reported that originally Bryan was meant to face Kofi at Money in the Bank but couldn’t be cleared on time. Kevin Owens was turned heel as a result and had Bryan been cleared a week earlier then Owens wouldn’t have been in the title picture.

Archie is a WWE and UFC Editor/Author at the SportsRush. Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
