Bryan Danielson Kofi Kingston Brock Lesnar

Bryan Danielson, f.k.a Daniel Bryan, felt the most deflated in his WWE career when Brock Lesnar made quick work of Kofi Kingston and won the WWE Championship. Kofi Kingston won his first-ever WWE Championship at WrestleMania 35 by defeating then-Champion Daniel Bryan. The former WWE Champion named his feud with Kofi as his favorite part of his WWE career during an interview with Ringer.

Interestingly, Bryan considers his title loss to Kofi more special than his WWE title victory at WrestleMania 30 against Randy Orton and Batista.

On the same night, Bryan defeated Triple H to qualify for the triple-threat match and pulled a miracle when he made Batista submit to the Yes Lock and claimed the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Bryan had been labeled a “B Plus” wrestler early in his career.

His title win at WrestleMania 30 was well-received by the fans. But the American Dragon puts his title loss to Kofi Kingston over his WrestleMania 30 moment. And so, to see Brock beat Kofi in a heartbeat left him disheartened.

Daniel Bryan felt “demoralized” after seeing Kofi Kingston lose to Brock Lesnar

On an edition of SmackDown in 2019, then-WWE Champion, Kofi Kingston, was set to go head-to-head with Brock Lesnar. The bell rang, Kofi jumped, got caught on Lesnar’s shoulders, and next thing you know, Brock Lesnar became the new WWE Champion.

Recalling Kofi’s embarrassing loss to Lesnar, Bryan told the Ringer that it was that moment that he felt the most demoralized in his entire career.

“The most demoralized I ever was, was seeing him lose it to Brock Lesnar the way that he did.” said Bryan.

Nevertheless, Bryan showered praise on Kofi Kingston for his positive attitude and claimed that the Kofi-Mania moment for him was like “magic”. The AEW star also showed his deep respect for Kingston and called him a “great human being”.

“To me, the whole thing was magic. What a great human being, you know what I mean? Like I said, it was my favorite match. I think the whole thing was my favorite part of my WWE career.”
