The DPC Season 2 Regionals are currently in full swing. As usual, along with a massive cash prize, teams are also fighting for DPC points. DPC Points are very important to every professional Dota 2 team trying to win a spot at TI.

TI, or The International is the annual global Dota 2 tournament. Valve hosts this tournament every year. In 2020, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the TI was canceled. However, it is back this year, and the best Dota 2 teams across the world are currently fighting it out to earn these coveted DPC Points.

What are DPC Points in Dota 2?

Every year, Valve hosts a series of tournaments in a run-up to TI. Earlier, these were split into minors & Majors, but starting this season, Valve has reworked the format. Instead of the Minors, there will be regional leagues and only 2 Majors throughout the 2 seasons.

In every tournament, the top 5 teams in each region’s upper-division will get DPC points. Currently, Invictus Gaming, the winner of Singapore Major, is at the top of the DPC points table. But, this will change very soon at the end of DPC Season 2 Regional league which is going on.

Based on the team’s position in the DPC point table, they will qualify for TI. This is how the spread will be decided in the upper divisions.
