Why was Dr DisRespect banned from Twitch: The Doc finally broke his silence over the shady Twitch ban that has been puzzling his fans and followers alike!
What did the Doc have to say? Well, as it turns out, quite a bit.
Dr DisRespect Twitch ban: The Premise.
Doc DisRespect, one of the biggest names on Twitch, was banned from streaming on the platform forever from 26th June 2020. And as Twitch never revealed their causes behind the ban, speculations have been rife ever since.
Moreover, the Doc had been handling the situation with surprising calmness over the last 2 months as well. However, it seems all of that is about to change!
What did the Doc say?
In a stream that shook the Internet yesterday, the Doc revealed quite a bit, through his indirect hints, about his Twitch ban. Esports talk covered the news almost instantly and made a very informative skit of the same. You can watch it below.
In the stream, Doc hinted at unethical behaviour on the part of Twitch by using a Marine Corp metaphor. As one of Doc’s subs, who was a 25-year-long Master Chief in the Navy, commented on the ban, the doc let loose. He asked the Master Chief to imagine what would happen if the Navy just let him go out of nowhere to include 3 new Cadets!
The metaphor was easy to catch. It certainly meant, as per the Doc, that Twitch let him, the Master Chief, go so that they could hire more cadets. The Doc felt that Twitch was struggling to pay him the big numbers he deserved. So, they decided to rid himself of him.
As to who these 3 cadets are, 2 of them are easy to guess, and most likely are Ninja and Shroud. That’s because they were the ones who signed new deals recently. As far as the 3rd Cadet is concerned, it could be just about anybody among the elite lot. There have been predictions that Pokimane and Logic are the 3rd possible cadets.
Rising Tensions.
These quite obvious hints on Doc’s part throw more drama into the mix. Also, his fans are sure to get more riled up about this as well.
Tensions between the Doc and Twitch have been pretty high recently. That’s because the Doc was found on Twitch in Nadeshot’s stream in the Vikkstar tournament this month. This happened in spite of the ban and Twitch took strict action, warning all other streamers from any such instances in the future. They also updated their guidelines to ensure this did not happen any more.
@Twitch Literally updated their terms of service just because Doc showed up on Nadeshot’s stream.. LOL @JakeSucky pic.twitter.com/3L8WpSFhhM
