Eden Hazard: Full details on six-year contract 'offered by Real Madrid' for Hazard

Eden Hazard is set to sign for Real Madrid on a six-year deal, as the Belgian is convinced with the arrival of Zinedine Zidane. Here are the full details on the story.

Eden Hazard has been one of the key players for Chelsea over the last few years. The Belgian attacker has been a consistent performer for the side. However, it has been reported that Hazard could be set to leave the club in the summer.

In Zinedine Zidane’s previous tenure with Real Madrid, there were heavy speculations over Eden Hazard’s move to Santiago Bernabeu. The player also publically stated that he is interested in playing for Real Madrid.

However, the speculations cooled down after Zidane’s shock resignation from the side.

As the Frenchman announced his comeback as the manager of the club last month, Eden Hazard looks certain to leave Stamford Bridge in the summer. And according to Spanish outlet Marca, Real Madrid are set to offer a mammoth six-year deal for Hazard.

Eden Hazard to Real Madrid?

The Belgian attacker is reported to be inclined to joining Real Madrid in the summer.

Marca has reported that the Santiago Bernabeu outfit has offered a six-year contract for the Chelsea superstar. The talks between Hazard and Real Madrid have reached at an advanced level, according to the report.

Zinedine Zidane has given his approval on the contract, and Eden Hazard will travel to Madrid in the coming days to finalize the move.

FIFA imposed a transfer ban on Chelsea earlier this year, and had their appeal against the ban rejected as well. As things stand, the side could leave Eden Hazard in the summer.

Maurizio Sarri’s side is currently fifth in the Premier League, and face an intense battle for the top-4 race against Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Manchester United.

Can the transfer happen?

It is likely, as things stand. Chelsea will play hard to let Eden Hazard go because of the transfer ban – and also because the Belgian attacker has been the side’s best performer over the past few seasons.

Real Madrid reportedly backed out of a move for Hazard last summer when Chelsea demanded 200 million euros for the player. However, Zinedine Zidane is adamant on a squad overhaul, and Florentino Perez could go to any lengths to sign the player the Frenchman wants for the side.
