Eden Hazard’s Real Madrid move is in danger after the failure to meet Chelsea’s transfer demands.
Eden Hazard’s move to Real Madrid is in huge danger after talks collapse between two clubs. The Belgian International waved goodbye following the Europa League victory, but talks have not been progressive ever since then.
The Blues are pushing for a fee in excess of £100 million, but Real Madrid’s stance remains firm, according to Standard. Hazard’s contract expires next year and he expected the transfer to be concluded while he was at International duty.
Real Madrid’s chief executive Jose Angel Sanchez flew to London to conclude the deal by Monday. However, with no compensation being reached, Sanchez has left London with total frustration and the club’s board are hoping to resolve this problem quickly.
The Los Blancos have been keen on the forward for a long time now, after Florentino Perez expressed his desire. The record Champions League holders will come with another bid with big add-ons to convince Chelsea to sell their forward.
The 29-year-old has been at his best under Maurizio Sarri, by securing 21 goals and 15 assists this season, enjoying one of the best individual seasons at Chelsea.
Zinedine Zidane is not resting on his laurels after a lamentable season. The Spanish side announced the signing of Eder Militao in April, recently – Luka Jovic for a fee of €60 million from Eintracht Frankfurt. Additionally, another two signings are bound to happen, with Eden Hazard and Ferland Mendy being tipped to join the club.
At the other side, Chelsea are hit with a transfer ban until June 2020. The Blues signed Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund for €64 million in January and allowed him to spend rest of the season on loan. Besides, Maurizio Sarri has asked the club to let him leave to Juventus, but the club remain firm in their stance to keep him.
