ENG vs PAK Dream 11 Prediction

ENG vs PAK Dream 11 Prediction: Best Dream11 team for today’s ENG vs PAK first ODI as TSR helps you form Dream 11 team.

Pakistan will be taking on England in the first ODI at the Oval. The last time Pakistan played on the Oval, they thrashed India by 180 runs to win the Championship Trophy Final in 2017. They would love to relive those memories and win their first ODI in England.

On the contrary, the hosts would like to try out their combination before the World Cup and arrive at the perfect playing 11 for the bog tournament. Pakistan would also look at this series as the best way to warm up for the World Cup which starts later this month.

The strategy to select this team is important to understand before we start. If we look at the credits the players are worth, some of the best batsmen are pretty expensive. Since Dream11 is a batsman friendly fantasy game, it makes sense to invest heavily on them and pick the bowlers who cost less but are efficient.

Wicket-keeper for ENG vs PAK Dream 11

We are presented with two options in Jos Buttler and Sarfraz Ahmed. While form and ability wise, Buttler seems a clear pick, he costs 11 credits compared to Ahmed’s 7.5 credits.

It is imperative to note that Buttler plays down the order for England and does not open the innings like he does in the IPL. He might get very few balls to play as a result.

Thereby, investing so much in a batsman who isn’t assured of playing many balls does not make sense. Hence, I would suggest you to go with Sarfraz Ahmed who will hopefully give you a few batting points in the middle order.

Bowlers for ENG vs PAK Dream 11

As a rule, I will not pick more than 4 bowlers to ensure that I can fit in as many batsmen as possible. Also, I have spent only 31 credits on 4 bowlers. The first bowler to walk into my squad will be the Pakistani pacer, Hasan Ali. He has been a constant in the Pakistan team for a couple of years now and he can wreak havoc on his day. Get him in ASAP!

Young Shaheen Afridi is the next man who makes his way into my team. He has been brilliant in the past year or so and has looked great with the ball in the few practice matches that Pakistan have played in England.

The next bowler who makes my team is Jofra Archer. England must be keen to try him out before the World Cup and as a result, he should be given many opportunities in the series. He is in terrific form as he displayed in the IPL and the one off T20 against Pakistan as well. He will be bowling at the death and the most number of wickets will come at that time. If he plays, Archer is likely to be a fantasy gold mine.

Liam Plunkett has also been very efficient for England over the last year and he completes my bowling attack. Hopefully, he can pick up a few important wickets upfront.

All-rounders for ENG vs PAK Dream 11

There are a few options to consider here. Moeen Ali makes a strong case but his low batting position and him generally not being given 10 overs goes against him. Ben Stokes is a tad expensive and he was not bowling in the IPL. These factors make me go against the idea of Stokes in my team.

Chris Woakes is an explosive wicket-taking bowler in these conditions and I will go for him since he gives me 10 overs, some death bowling and a few runs down the order as well.

Batsmen for ENG vs PAK Dream 11

I have decided to splurge on the explosive batsmen on display in this match and have spent as much as 53 credits on 5 batsmen. My first pick would be the classy English batsman, Joe Root, who comes at 12.5 credits. Root is one of the most dependable batsman in the world and more often than not, is a fantasy delight considering the humongous amount of runs he scores.

Babar Azam would be my next batsman. He is also valued at 12.5 credits and rightly so. He has been absolutely wonderful with the bat and has held up Pakistan’s batting unit on many occasion in the last few years. Azam might hold the key to this match as well.

Fakhar Zaman would be my next batsman. The fact that he is an opener goes in his favour along with his form at the Oval the last time he played here in the Champions Trophy final. He had scored a century to see his team through in that match. Expect him to come good again.

My last two batsmen would be the English openers, Jonny Bairstow and Jason Roy. Bairstow has been in unbelievable form in the IPL and he will look to carry that confidence in this match. Jason Roy has also been excellent for England in the past few years.

On their day, the English openers can simply take off and take the match away from the opponents. They are class players and cannot be ignored at any cost. You need to find a way to bring them into your Dream11 team.
