“All the Suffering For What?”: Fans Demand Answers As Mercedes Confess to Disobeying Lewis Hamilton
Lewis Hamilton was not happy with Mercedes’s decision to stick with their controversial ‘zero-sidepod’. Despite failing in 2022, the Silver Arrows were determined not to listen to Hamilton when it comes to developing the car the right way.
The British driver was vocal about how the new W14 was “not the right car” and said as per The Guardian that the team “did not listen” to his pressing concerns.
However, after the recent admission by Toto Wolff and significantly improved performance lately, it is clear that the seven-time world champion was right about his car.
Now, with Mercedes performing at their very best after new regulations, fans are asking for answers from the Brackley-based team for not listening to the Briton.
Mercedes fans demand justification
After a relatively poor season where the German team won just one race in 2022, it made no sense to the fans why Mercedes kept their faith in the same sidepod and not in Hamilton.
As the Silver Arrows have picked up three back-to-back podiums, with two by the Briton himself, fans shared their reactions by pointing fingers at the team.

Will the new upgrades be enough for Lewis Hamilton to challenge for wins?
With the upgrades going everywhere but in a positive trajectory, the Brackley-based team believes that they can overtake immediate rival Aston Martin and head towards Red Bull.
With huge upgrades coming up in Silverstone where Mercedes believes they can win the race, the entire team is focused on closing the gap between the defending champions and their mighty RB-19.

Notably, things could have been much different if the team would have listened to Lewis Hamilton much earlier than they did. As per reports, the 38-year-old complained about this back in March.
Now, in June, the German team is enjoying success as they already replaced Aston Martin from P2 in the Constructors’ championship and are favorites to be Red Bull’s primary rival.
