“And I plan to move to F1 with them" - Nikita Mazepin reveals the special people who will join him as support staff at Haas next season

“And I plan to move to F1 with them” – Nikita Mazepin reveals who will join him as support staff at Haas next season.

Nikita Mazepin is bracing himself for his first season in the elite level of Formula 1. He was impressive in F2 this season, winning two races, helping to get into the Top 5 of the standings. His support staff played a massive role in it, and they too will take the step up to Formula 1. He was talking to Match TV, as per Motorsport.com

“After I had an absolute complete failure in 2019, we decided to regroup 90 percent of my entourage. I changed from two coaches. Now I have one, a physiotherapist, who is a professional in his field, and one coach, who is responsible for my physical training.”

“And I plan to move to F1 with them – the people who raised me from my knees in motorsport. I really need to try to succeed in the next years too.”

Nikita Mazepin using sensors of lie-detector tests

Mazepin, who was recently involved in a massive social media saga with #WeSayNoToMazepin trending worldwide, has revealed the level of preparation for next season. He is, holds your breath, using sensors commonly used in lie-detector tests! This will help him to control stress in a high-demanding sport like Formula 1.

“I’ve been working with an Italian for the last three years, who also works with the Ferrari team. We prepare with the same kind of sensors that are used in lie detector tests.”

“That is, you collect a lot of information from your body and try to control them [certain indicators] with your breathing and other things to reduce stress in moments of heavy pressure at the beginning of the race – or at the end of the race when you’re defending your position.”
