“At Least… Winning Something”: Tifosi Ridicules Charles Leclerc and Co. After Ferrari’s 24H Nürburgring Win

Ferrari created history after their 296 GT3 emerged victorious at 24 Hours Nürburgring, and ended German domination after 20 years. After the Maranello-based outfit did the unthinkable, fans on Twitter have come up ahead to ask questions to Ferrari’s 1 team and take digs at Charles Leclerc and Co.

The Frikadelli Racing Team with Earl Bamber, Nicky Catsburg, David Pittard, and Felipe Fernandez Laser created history as they set a new benchmark. They won the race by a colossal margin of 162 laps! Talk about complete and utter domination.

This was the first-ever victory for a non-German car in the 51st running of the German endurance race, since the win of Zakspeed’s Chrysler Viper GTS-R in 2002. In the race the Ferrari beat the three Mercedes-AMG GT3s in running.

As Scuderia Ferrari finally managed to get over the Mercedes dominance in their own backyard in endurance racing, fans on Twitter started wondering when Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz can do the same against Mercedes and Red Bull in F1.

Tifosi slams Scuderia Ferrari on Twitter

As news of the Ferrari GT team winning the 24 hours of Nürburgring  spread across the internet, fans couldn’t wait to get on Twitter to ridicule the the Scuderia for their underwhelming performances in F1. Given below are some of the reactions taken from the Twitter:

Guilio Di Salvo wrote, “Let’s gooo, at least Ferrari is winning something. Good race this year.”

An account named SteveUTd7 poked at the reliability issue of the SF-23.

An account named iDK questioned the seriousness of the F1 team.

Another fan named Aake Kinnunen believes the Gt team should help F1 team.

Charles Leclerc and Ferrari’s 2023 prospect

After finishing the 2023 Miami Grand Prix in disappointment, both Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz asked the members of the team to step up their game.

The SF-23 isn’t as fast as Leclerc or Sainz would have liked it to be. It’s race pace, drag and overall reliability has become a major concern for the Ferrari drivers. In particular, their race pace has been dismal, which has allowed the Red Bull and Mercedes drivers to zoom past them in races without breaking a sweat.

With the recent Emilia Romagna Grand Prix being canceled, Ferrari suffered further problems, as they couldn’t bring the planned upgrades set for Imola. All in all, things don’t look good for the Italian team in F1, something the Tifosi hopes will change in the coming races.
