Carlos Sainz roasted Scuderia Ferrari’s 2023 F1 Challenger SF-23. The Spanish driver said that he finds the new car from the Italian team “hilarious.”
In a recently uploaded sponsored video by Ray-Ban, who is an official sponsor of the Prancing Horse, Sainz revealed his take. When asked about the new SF-23 by his teammate Charles Leclerc, he said, “I find it hilarious.”
The duo was involved in a competition where they had to start every sentence with the letter of the English alphabet. It was Leclerc’s turn and he had to start his sentence with the letter ‘H’ so he asked Sainz, “How do you find the new car?” To which the Spanish driver labeled the car ‘hilarious’. He further went on to add, “…Super funny. I saw it and it made me laugh.” However, his Ferrari counterpart Leclerc had a different opinion on the SF-23.
Speaking about the new challenger, Leclerc said that he doesn’t find it funny, but instead, he finds the car “extremely quick.” He said, “I find it extremely quick and not that hilarious.”
Leclerc and Sainz have huge complaints about SF-23
The Ferrari duo lashed out at the SF-23 after the conclusion of the recent Miami Grand Prix. The duo pointed out the lack of race pace SF-23 has as compared to its rivals.
As per Ferrari News, Sainz said that they’re in the middle of a learning process and are trying to find out how the SF-23 is good during the qualification but failed in the race.

“We are in the middle of a learning process.”
“This weekend will help us a lot to understand why we can fight for pole, and then why we struggle so much in the race.”

Admittedly, the Ferrari challenger seemed to have been slower when it comes to its race pace against the RB-19, AMR-23, or at times the W-14. Citing this, Leclerc and Sainz want the team back in Maranello to work hard and close the gap.
The duo received a scathing attack because of Ferrari’s failure
The Prancing Horse duo was recently subjected to a brutal attack by Michael Schumacher’s brother Ralf Schumacher. The German said that the drivers were to blame for Ferrari’s dip in form.
As per Sky Germany, the German stated that he sees the biggest problem is with the drivers. For him, the duo of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz are to be blamed for Ferrari’s performance, as they are not consistent enough.
The former F1 driver also added on the Monegasque that he either doesn’t have the maturity to drive at the highest level or at the end of the day he’s not good enough consistently to drive a world-class car by Ferrari.
