Julia Piquet, who was a renowned face in the horse riding competition, crashed with her horse in the final of the horse riding competition in 2015. And hence the fear jotted from here never really went away from there.
Julia Piquet calls Nelson Piquet her ‘hero’
Just almost 12 hours before the horse rider was born, Nelson Piquet could have had a fatal accident and never met his daughter. But luckily, the accident was not horrific.
Taking to her official Instagram account, Julia Piquet recently posted a series of pictures of her father and her at the Indianapolis. Admittedly, had the fateful day been any worse, the younger Piquet would have never seen her “hero.”

She wrote, “May 7th, 1992. I was born 12 hours later. @indianapolismotorspeedway is the only track in the world that makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.”
“I’m deeply grateful Dad survived this one, or I never would have had the chance to meet my hero. [Love] you,” she concluded. Admittedly, the 70-year-old suffered serious injuries when she tried his hands at the Indianapolis 500 in 1992. He suffered serious foot and ankle injuries after running over metallic debris and hitting the wall at full speed after spinning.

Notably, Nelson Piquet was in the news after the reports of him racially abusing Lewis Hamilton came out in public. However, both Kelly Piquet and Max Verstappen have defended the former F1 driver saying the Brazilian champion is not a racist man.
