The pros of having a glamorous life in F1 come with having some big connections, and big relationships. While Fernando Alonso is caught up in the bizarre rumors about Taylor Swift, there have been some entities who have pulled it off. Lewis Hamilton dated Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger for almost a decade. Red Bull boss Christian Horner is married to a Spice Girl.
Now, these two pop stars had been presented with the opportunity of a lifetime. One took it, and the other didn’t. With King Charles’ coronation coming soon, it was believed that the Spice Girls would have their long-awaited reunion at the event. However, now, its Scherzinger who takes center stage.
Nicole Scherzinger honored to perform at Lewis Hamilton home ground
As part of KING CHARLES III’s coronation concert, an unexpected lineup of performers will grace the stage, including Tom Cruise, Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls, and the lovable Winnie the Pooh. Although each celebrity may seem like an odd choice, they have all attended royal events in the past, Variety reports.

Cruise paid his respects at Princess Diana’s funeral in 1997, Scherzinger recently participated in a pageant for Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations, and Pooh was a guest at a children’s garden party at Buckingham Palace in 2006. The grand festivities, set to entertain an audience of 20,000, will be held on May 7th at the prestigious Windsor Castle.
A “once in a lifetime performance,” Scherzinger is ecstatic. “I am incredibly honored to be a part of such a historic event. The U.K. has been my home away from home for many years now, so this means so much to me to be lending my voice through the gift of song.”
However, this was once Geri Halliwell’s stage. The Daily Mail reported that the Spice Girls, including Victoria Beckham, were potentially going to perform together again during the King’s coronation. According to The Sun, the royal organizers were eager to have the group participate in the celebrations.

What changed? The pop band turned down the opportunity. Rumor has it, there is a general reluctance among performers to be associated with the scandal-scarred monarchy. As a result, Geri Halliwell and crew were a part of star-studded A-Listers to turn away from the coronation.
As Scherzinger gets ready to be a part of history, it would be thrilling to see the singer take the mic again. Maybe she crosses paths with a knighted ex-boyfriend at the occasion?
