In the footage, the 25-year-old is seen talking about his eating prowess with his parents. As per the footage, the defending champion says he can eat all the salad that’s available on the table. And yes, he would also like to add some soup since he was very hungry.
Verstappen Sr. And Kumpen are no more together and filed for divorce in 2008. However, their decision has not proven to be a significant blow to Verstappen Jr. As the Red Bull star is riding on a new high, he has now proven himself to be a strong man after bringing in both of his parents together.
Jos Verstappen revealed he was hard on his son but not abusive
The related footage above showed Jos Verstappen laughing during the table conversation with his son and ex-wife. This, in fact, was a rare sight. However, what’s more, shocking was his latest revelation.
The senior Verstappen recently revealed that he didn’t abuse his son. But he was hard on him instead. In the documentary of Max Verstappen, he said he is seen as a bad father for his abusive nature toward the Red Bull star. But the 51-year-old has never “abused him.”

Verstappen Sr. went on to say that he raised him, but harshly. Many people cannot imagine the efforts it takes to reach the top of the pinnacle of the sport. Hence the hard way, the former F1 driver further stated.
Verstappen threatens to quit F1
The two-time world champion has recently threatened to quit the sport. This comes right after the FIA and F1, and all the teams have agreed upon a tweak in the race weekend.
As per reports, this year’s Sprint race is expected to have its qualification, unlike the prior years, to make things exciting. However, Verstappen, who’s already not a fan of the sprint, threatened to quit the sport if the organizers continued to include more and more events on the weekend.
The 25-year-old said on this, “I hope there won’t be too many changes; otherwise, I won’t do it, I won’t be here for long,” Max Verstappen also stated that the sprint [and its qualification] involves heavy risky and offers very little points as compared to the main race.
