Max Verstappen Taps Into His Inner Angry Charles Leclerc Leaving Fans Floored: “The Lestappen Agenda Never Stops”

Max Verstappen has kept himself busy in the past few weeks by cracking jokes and playing simulator racing with his friends. The Dutchman got even more time to do so this weekend after the Imola GP was canceled due to excessive flooding and torrential rains in the region.

Among the many jokes that Verstappen and his friends cracked while playing simulator racing, the ones involving ‘Lestappen’ (Charles Leclerc and Verstappen) were the most prominent. F1 fans have famously given the name ‘Lestappen’ to indicate the close bond between the two F1 drivers.

In a recent video that has now gone viral, Verstappen was asked to explain what happened from his perspective after an incident took place during the simulator race. In reply, he said, “Look at the replay“. When the interviewer said that he had looked at the incident and just wanted to get Verstappen’s thoughts on it, the 25-year-old had a chuckle.

Immediately after, one of his friends hilariously interrupted Verstappen and said that it was just a ‘racing incident‘. On hearing the same, Verstappen remembered the days of his rivalry with Leclerc and called it an ‘inchident,’ a word that the Monegasque had infamously used after he collided with the Dutchman on track during their karting days back in 2012.

F1 fans surprised after Verstappen finally makes peace with the ‘inchident

Several F1 fans such as Bea and Alya revealed their surprise after Max Verstappen said ‘inchident‘.

Meanwhile, fans such as Anika stated that they would not mind if Verstappen and Leclerc ‘date each other‘ because of how their bond has grown.

On similar lines, fans such as Manuh and Cherie stated that ‘Lestappen‘ has become a common trend this season as the bond between Leclerc and Verstappen continues to grow.

What is the ‘inchident‘ between Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc?

In an interview with Ziggo Sport last year, Charles Leclerc revealed the complete details of the infamous ‘inchident‘ that took place between him and Max Verstappen during their karting days in 2012. This was an iconic incident that will remain in the minds of fans and both drivers for a very long time, as this is the moment that sowed the seeds for the rivalry that is currently seen today.

Speaking of the moment, Leclerc said, “I will remember it all my life. It was a double right-hander at Val d’Argenton. I look at him & go like this. He was watching me. We touched a little bit. He took the wet white line and went straight. And there was a huge puddle…and he ended up in that puddle. He was really wet“.

Following the collision between the two on track, a fuming Verstappen complained about how Leclerc gave him no space and violated the rules on multiple occasions. On the other hand, when the Monegasque was asked to explain this moment from his point of view, he hilariously replied, “Nothing. It was just an incident“.

Little did these two kids know there would come a time they would go head to head for the F1 title. Now, as 2023 reeks of Verstappen’s dominance, one can only hope Leclerc catches up.
