"Oh My God!": Alex Albon's Girlfriend Once Busted Him With Giant Picture of George Russell

Alex Albon and George Russell being approximately the same age, have grown up together since their karting days. While they always had a level of competition throughout every feeder series up to F1, they have managed to have a good friendship.

They have formed massive love and respect for each other was evident when Albon was deemed to replace Mercedes-bound Russell at Williams. The latter was in full mood to promote his friend, who had a tough year on the sidelines and was making a comeback.

Since then, Albon has only been impressed with Williams, and his time with a top team will soon come again. Until then, he has a season to do for Williams and maybe have a few odd tussles with his friend Russell.

While they have spent a large part of their childhood together, it’s apparent they’ll have a good friendship. However, once Albon’s girlfriend found something strange and awkward in the Thai-born driver’s room during a race weekend.

Sitting on his room’s couch, she found a large photo of Russell behind it. At first, she was shocked and reacted with a loud “Oh my god” while trying to make sense of the existence of it in his room.

“Of course, he has this. I am not surprised,” said Lily Muli. “He’s got some explaining to do when he comes out.” Muli is a Chinese professional golfer, and the two have been dating since they met in Los Angeles in 2019.

Russell was once annoyed with his friend

In 2019, three drivers from F2 emerged. All of them had considerable hype around them and, to date, are continuing, while many names coming after them have vanished from the sport.

Lando Norris went to McLaren, Albon went to Toro Rosso and soon got promoted to Red Bull owing to poor performances by Pierre Gasly. Meanwhile, Russell got his first stint with Williams, who was clearly a side severely lacking against the rest of the grid.

While the other two were constantly vying for the points from the first day of their rookie season, Russell saw P18 as an achievement. Therefore, it was quite annoying for him to see the people he beat in F2 constantly above him, with him having no control.

But patience rewarded Russell, and he soon got his promotion to Mercedes. Though the Silver Arrows was nowhere near its usual self in 2022, he still got his first Grand Prix before them and is now way up in the F1 ladder.
