Swamped With Shakira Drama and Red Bull War, Lewis Hamilton Makes Strong Resolution: “I Don’t Want…”
The life of Lewis Hamilton has been full of drama for the last few months. Be it the drama regarding his love life or the controversy regarding his contract renewal with Mercedes, Hamilton has had issues with both his personal and professional life. However, Hamilton has clarified that there is only one thing on his mind right now, and he will only work towards that ultimate goal.
Hamilton‘s love life has been the main media gossip for the last few months. There have been widespread speculations that the Mercedes driver has been dating Latina pop star Shakira. Things have gotten even more complicated with NBA star Jimmy Butler now involved in the story.

As for the contract situation, Hamilton’s current contract with Mercedes expires at the end of 2023. The Briton is yet to pen down a renewal with the Silver Arrows, which has led to strong suspicions that Hamilton might be looking for a move away from his current team.
Lewis Hamilton wants no distractions in life
Amidst all this, Lewis Hamilton revealed that he had one particular goal fixed in his mind. Hamilton appeared on the latest episode of True Driver, a documentary by DAZN, where he spoke about his life in F1.
Hamilton said, “I want to win my eighth title. I have the sights on the next Championship, I’m completely focused on that, and I don’t want distractions.”
It is quite evident that the scars from the 2021 battle with Verstappen haven’t quite healed. Hamilton is still as hungry as ever to win his eighth title.

However, it hasn’t been possible due to the struggling Mercedes. Even though Toto Wolff had claimed before the start of the season that Mercedes would be able to provide Hamilton with a car in which he can fight for his eighth title, that hasn’t been the case at all?
The Downfall of Mercedes
Given the condition of Mercedes, winning the eighth title will be harder than ever for Hamilton. The Brackley outfit fell behind their rivals at the start of the 2022 season when F1 introduced new regulations, and they haven’t been able to catch up since.
Lewis Hamilton last won a race back in 2021 in Saudi Arabia. It has been 33 races since, and he has managed to climb up to P2 but has failed to reach the top of the podium.

With Mercedes bringing in new upgrades at Monaco, things started to look slightly better for them. They got instant results in the form of two back-to-back podiums for Lewis Hamilton in Spain and Canada. However, their performance fell off once more when they reached Austria. The only good thing that Hamilton can take home from this is that at least the team is progressing on the right path.
